Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 2026-07-27

This is a template, not legal advice.

This document is drafted to reflect how this specific platform actually works, but it has not been reviewed by a lawyer and is not a substitute for one. Have it reviewed and adjusted by a qualified attorney in your jurisdiction — including the liability, indemnity, arbitration, and data-transfer terms — before relying on it.

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out rules for using On Site & Ready (the "Service"), provided by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME]. It is incorporated into, and forms part of, our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms.

1. Who This Applies To

This AUP applies to the Business, all of its Team Members (owners, managers, office staff, and technicians), and anyone else who accesses the Service through a Business Account or through a public booking page. The Business is responsible for ensuring its Team Members comply with this AUP.

2. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation, including data protection, consumer protection, telemarketing/anti-spam, and employment law;
  • Infringe or misappropriate any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other legal rights;
  • Upload, store, or transmit any content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, abusive, or that contains malicious code (viruses, malware, etc.);
  • Use the Service's chat, push notification, email, or SMS/text message features to send unsolicited bulk messages, spam, or communications to End Customers who have not consented to receive them, or in a manner that violates applicable anti-spam or telemarketing law (including, for SMS, obtaining and honoring the required consent and opt-outs);
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other Business Accounts, or the systems or networks connected to the Service, including by circumventing authentication or permission controls;
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or interfere with or disrupt its normal operation (including through excessive automated requests);
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
  • Use automated means (scraping, bots, etc.) to extract data from the Service outside of its provided export tools and APIs, or resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties as a bureau or service on your own account without our written consent;
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity, including creating a Team Member account for someone without their knowledge; or
  • Use the Service to process personal data of an End Customer or Team Member without a lawful basis, or in a way that violates the rights of the individual concerned.

3. Location Tracking — Additional Standards for Employers

If the Business enables GPS clock-in/out, live location sharing, or background location in the Android application (see Section 8 of our Terms of Service), the Business agrees to use location data only for legitimate business purposes such as dispatch, job verification, safety, and payroll accuracy — not for continuous surveillance of a Team Member outside of an open, assigned job, and not in a manner that violates applicable employment, works-council, or data protection law in the Business's jurisdiction. The Business is responsible for informing Team Members that this feature is in use before enabling it.

Background location has a further condition. It reports position while the application is closed, so it is switched on by the Team Member and by nobody else — not by the Business, and not by us. A Business must not require a Team Member to enable it where local law does not permit that, must not penalise a Team Member for declining or later withdrawing it, and must not ask a Team Member to keep it enabled outside their working hours. Using another person's device or credentials to enable it is a breach of this policy.

4. Consequences of Violations

Violation of this AUP is a material breach of our Terms of Service and may result in content removal, suspension, or termination of the Business Account as described in Section 15 ("Suspension & Termination") of our Terms of Service, without limiting any other remedy available to us, including where appropriate reporting conduct to law enforcement.

5. Reporting Violations

If you believe someone is violating this AUP, please contact us at [SUPPORT EMAIL] with as much detail as possible.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time, consistent with Section 20 ("Changes to the Service or These Terms") of our Terms of Service. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
